If I give no information to spoil, such as names or background info or book appearance number, would you all like to see the TSDS characters of my own and bloodangel28, that appear in later books now?

I cast my vote in favor of showing more characters. While I don't think you should go into extraordinary depth with spoilable characters, showing art of them would be good I think for your SDS fanbase. I'm of the way of thinking that holding back is often to our own detriment since we end up holding back to much like an exotic dancer who is just too much tease.

I'd say go halfway. Show off your characters and any other various aspects of SDS but leave their descriptions short but with a hint of detail to them, at least one thing a person can read after seeing the art and walk away with that only hypens the "just who is this guy/gal and what is their involvement in the story" mystery.

From my own experience back when me and Jacob worked on a webcomic, we would tease on a lot of things since the core of the story was so much farther ahead of the comic. In the early days, we held back on a lot of things and it was stifling because any enjoyment you would get out of bringing the characters artistically to life (vicariously on my part) would be tempered by the notion of not being able to show them to an audience for spoiler reasons. That policy didn't last too long but afterwards in concept art for future characters, care was taken to tell part of their story (usually backstory) for them to be someone worthwhile in looking forward to but not spoil how they would interact with the main characters and influence the course of the story.

I think you have plenty more to gain by showing more of art of SDS than what you would stand to lose as long as you don't tell the story of SDS in the artist comments. If it was me in your shoes, I would show the art of the characters, give out their name, and some small but mindfully crafted description of them. Depending on certain aspects of them, I may alter this format. For example, if a character was the offspring of a particular couple (and not obviously so in design), I might shy away from revealing thier name. If their most general backstory summary is intrinsically connected with major events in SDS Book 1 to the point that it is a major defining aspect of their character, I'd shy away from that as well and take a more simplistic approach by offering scant few details, if any.

On a personal level, I'd love to see what else you and your sister have in store so I might be a tad biased from the start with this poll. =D
