First of all, I have been very inactive, as I said I would, to start working hard on the book. Of course ESO has been a major distraction but I'm now at a place where I can focus once more on the book. Sorry once again if I don't reply or see any art you do for awhile.
On a personal note tomorrow is the funeral for my 92 year old grandfather. He died from a stroke the morning of my sisters birthday. Rest in peace Pop.
The time has come to announce the winners! I know many of you have been eager! We relied on non biased judges for the final results!
In first place is
There is a lot to say about this picture! The line art and line flow are very lovely and draw your eye around the art. The background is bright and nicely contrasted with the dark red curtains pulls you to the center. Very nice work and perspective on the floor. We love the poses, anatomy, and expression on both Night-of-Wind and King Justin.
Last but certainly not least, as this was the deciding factor, the dress. As I said the dress design is what we are basing our choices on. The dress is elegant and much like Night-of-Wind, flows like the wind. Whether she was aware or not to me she took the theme of wind and the concepts of medieval dresses, and added her own flare. One that suits the world of The Silver Dolphins Saga perfectly. The ornate decorations of the dress are delicate and bold and draw your eye in to then follow the gold trim down to the rest of the dress. The folds and flare at the bottom of the dress are lovely and airy, and add to the theme of wind as well as the long draping sleeves and blue color. Lets not forget the puffy white cloud like part of the sleeves! So cute! Congratulations!
1st place 200 points and a big art request
Second place goes to:
Kayly was the first to do exactly what I was hoping someone would do, and I would have given her first place for it but I was not the judge! Her dress is the bird of Arisdale and while
had done one right after that also had a very nice design to it, we love the addition on Kayly's, which is the yellow feather head dress! Way to go full bird of Arisdale Kayly! King Justin is mighty impressed and flattered!
She certainly caught Nessrean's attention!
The dress design is lovely! I do like the collar at the top and the golden drapes of cloth along the sides and of course the clever addition of the bird in the center. On top of the dress design you went all out and drew a picture that is fun to look at, and easily tells a story while drawing your eye around the page! There is so much work and detail in this and I love your interpretation of the ballroom by the king's table.
2nd place 100 points and a sketch or a few la emotes or something small in size (as in a picture with no background)
Third place goes to:
Marek my good friend, my sister and I both agree that you nail Justin's appearance and character perfectly in every drawing you do! Brownie points for that!
We loved Alice's fire themed dress! Once again fitting the medieval theme and acclimating perfectly into Arisdale in both style and color! Very nice design and flow. I sure do love those shoulders!3rd place 50 points and a la emote (or something simple like line art, if you don't want another. XD )
Honorable Mentions: Beautiful work! We loved the color choice for the dress as well as the design for a bird of Arisdale theme, and I have to say it looks great on Kai! We had a hard time with this due to Kayly being first to do this design one like it but loved it so much that we had to make a fourth winner. I have a lot I want to do for you so you'll get something anyway!and
This picture is simply stunning and deserves recognition! This is not a quality contest but an outfit design one. If it was quality this would be a winner for sure!
While Jake's outfit is rather typical royal, we have to give you brownie points for the gold emblem on the cape! I love that you incorporated the silver dolphins into the outfit! Of course that is only adding to Justin's anger. Silver is considered a sacred metal and to represent the Silver Dolphins in gold is....Blasphemy! D: We will forgive you as you more then likely did not know that! ^.=.^
I love the futuristic theme you went with in this outfit for Dynamo! It is fun and fancy and very well done! Thank you so much for participating!
Thank you for dressing for the occasion Mara! I know the lady look is not in her style but she dressed well and looks charming! Wonderful job on King Justin as well!
Never before has a dragon looked more elegant! Loving all the bling Thrallath! You know King Justin certainly admires all the gold you have on!
Melian you look absolutely amazing in your dream inspired gown! I would like to have one in blue myself!
Once more, AMAZING job on King Justin! We are so blown away by how great he looks here! Countess Agatha Calamult looks amazing in her dress! I do love the collar on it! I also like how you made them both in chibi form! Very cute and a lovely job on King Justin!
Beautiful snow themed dress for the lady Snowfall! I honestly should have more prize places for all the creativity we received! A lovely job on King Justin as well! You got the skills to him nicely!
As always lovely job Tanner! Thank you so much for doing a dancing pose! ^.=.^ Tanner looks great in that dress, certainly a style that suits her well! Adding the background from the throne room was a nice touch, and of course all Tanner's good friends watching them dance!
Once again thank you all for participating! I got way more then I thought I would and it was difficult to choose winners!
Let me know in comments or notes what those who won would like to have!
Care to dance ladies?
